McLaughlin Freightlines is a road transport company based in Victoria, covering all major distribution points along the east coast of Australia. MFL has depots in VIC, NSW and QLD. MFL currently use the standard Future Fleet tracking systems in their trucks, and are shortly going to use the Temperature Monitoring and Trailer Tracking system. We asked Wayne McLaughlin how he was finding the Future Fleet system,
OVERALL, HOW HAS YOUR COMPANY FOUND THE FUTURE FLEET SYSTEM?
“Very pleased with the Future Fleet system. Simple and user friendly to operate. We also like the way the system allows us to have our customers access the system with ease. Also the way we can set the parameters so as we can limit the total amount of access they have.”
HAS THE FUTURE FLEET SYSTEM MADE YOUR COMPANY MORE EFFICIENT? IF SO, IN WHICH AREAS?
“We are currently analyzing these efficiences but the reporting that we are receiving is assisting us in all areas including our service intervals.”

“It is now a vital link in our day to day operations, also we are using the system to report KPI’s back to our customers."
WHAT BENEFITS HAS YOUR COMPANY FOUND SINCE USING THE FUTURE FLEET SYSTEM?
“Enormous benefits have been exposed in the short time that we have been operating the system. One of the biggest benefits has been to show our customers the time we are spending on their sites, loading and unloading. This is positive feed back to our customers, so they now are working on problems from their end to help us turn our units around faster.”
